The well, in Center District, Grantsville Quad, Calhoun County, is a Trenton-Black River test permitted to a depth of 21,000 ft. in Precambrian. In separate activity in the same area, Bridgeport-based Mountain V Oil & Gas Inc. plans two 14,400-ft. Trenton-Black River tests. The #11 and #12 Hardman are in Sherman District, Grantsville Quad. 8 IHS Energy Group reports that local operators have scheduled numerous deep tests in several different West Virginia counties. Trans-Capital Investment , Smithville, has four locations, all permitted to Precambrian. Its tests are the #W-1505 Underwood and the #W-1511 Reynolds, both in Grant District, Smithburg Quad, Doddridge County; and the #W-1512 Haddox and #W-1517 Adams, both in Union District, Auburn Quad, Ritchie County. Peake Energy Inc. , Ravenswood, has staked four deep tests in Jackson County, all also permitted to Precambrian. It plans to drill the PKN-#922 Shockey, the PKN-#918 Suck, the PKN-#919 Armstrong and the PKN-#920 Rector, all in Ravenswood District, Sandyville Quad. Charleston-based Reed Gas Inc. has thee Beekmantown tests staked in Clay County, projected to depths between 12,500 and 14,000 ft.-the #1 Bogden, #1 Long and #1 Haynie. The first two are in Otter District, Ivydale Quad, and the third is in Henry District, Clay Quad. Finally, in Roane County, BNG Production & Drilling , Spencer, has two tests planned to Precambrian. Its #1 Brannon and #1 Combs are both in Smithfield District, Tariff Quad. 9 Armadillo Services of Alabama Inc. , Raymond, Miss., flowed 360,000 cu. ft. of gas per day from a 2,300-ft. Gilmer discovery in Fayette County, Ala. The #1 Tensas-Hubbert 14-12, Section 14-14s-12w, was tested through perforations at 2,047-50 ft., reports IHS Energy Group. The Paleozoic wildcat lies about a mile west of Studhorse Creek Field. 10 El Dorado, Ark.-based Gibraltar Energy Co. gauged 365,000 cu. ft. of gas per day from Carter sands at its #2 Bagwell in Monroe County, Miss. The test was across an interval between 5,741-50 ft., reports Southeastern Oil Review. The well, drilled in Section 29-15s-6e, reached a total depth of 6,170 ft. The wildcat is about 1.5 miles west of Muldon Field. 11 Continental Resources , Enid, Okla., has a Paleozoic drilling program under way in Mississippi, according to Southeastern Oil Review.
