Chris Charman has been elected CEO of the International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA). He succeeds Hugh Williams, who has retired after 10 years at IMCA.

Marathon Oil Corp. has appointed Gretchen H. Watkins, former vice president of International Production Operations (IPO), vice president of North America Production Operations. Watkins succeeds Jim Bowzer, who has retired after 30 years of service with the company. Mitch Little, former resident manager of Marathon’s Norway business, has assumed the role of vice president, IPO.

?ge Landro has assumed the role of executive vice president of AGR Group’s global Petroleum Services division.

Kevin Revere has taken the position of vice president, Acteon. Based in Kuala Lumpur, Revere is providing initial support to Asia-based business CAPE as the company expands its subsea pipeline products and services.

Intertek has tapped Greg Dinkelman as its business development manager to expand its calibration and metering service offering in Sub-Saharan and West Africa.

Daniel Boone has assumed responsibilities as UTEC’s Louisiana-based operations manager.

The National Association of Energy Correspondents (NAEC) recently awarded Kaztec Engineering Ltd. its “Best Oil Service Company of the Year” award. Kaztec is a subsidiary of the Chrome Group, a West African oil and gas conglomerate. The award was presented at the NAEC August Conference 2012 held on Victoria Island in Lagos, Nigeria.

EXPANSIONS

Huisman is constructing a new production facility in the city of Navegantes in Santa Catarina state, Brazil. The facility, which is planned to be operational in 2H 2013, will be used to manufacture construction equipment for the Brazilian offshore market.

Intertek recently announced plans to open a calibration laboratory in Ghana in the coming months.

The Houston-based IPAA Education Center has partnered with the Petroleum Equipment Suppliers Association (PESA). The organizations, along with the Petroleum Academy Advisory Board, will provide engineering, geosciences, and leadership programs for students.

Seattle-based Jensen Maritime Consultants, a Crowley Maritime Corp. company, has expanded its presence to the US Gulf Coast region with the establishment of a third office in New Orleans, La.
