Tallgrass Energy LP (NYSE: TGE) said March 18 it promoted Bill Moler to serve as president in addition to his current role as COO of the Leawood, Kan.-based midstream operator.
David G. Dehaemers Jr. will remain Tallgrass’ CEO as a result of the promotion, which was effective immediately.
Moler has served as executive vice president and COO since the company’s inception in 2012. During that time, Tallgass said Moler has played a pivotal role in the company’s growth–both organically and through acquisition.
A 30-year veteran of the oil and gas industry, Moler also previously served in various capacities with Inergy LP and its affiliates from 2004 to 2012 and Westport Resources Corp. from 2002 to 2004. He began his career at Kinder Morgan Inc. (NYSE: KMI) in 1988.
“I’m delighted to announce Bill’s ascent to president, a move that recognizes his increasingly vital role to our company,” Dehaemers said in a statement. “Over the years, Bill has shown tremendous leadership capabilities across the company, throughout the industry and with our customers. I have worked with Bill for most of the last 20 years and have seen him grow into an energy executive clearly ready for this increased responsibility.”
Tallgrass Energy owns and operates more than 8,300 miles of natural gas pipeline, 800 miles of crude pipeline and 300 miles of water pipeline across some of the nation’s most prolific basins in the Rocky Mountains, Upper Midwest and Appalachian regions of the U.S., according to the company’s website.
