Kerr-McGee Corp., Oklahoma City, subsidiaries, Kerr-McGee Ecuador Energy Corp. and KM Global Ltd., have sold all Ecuadorean assets to Perenco Ecuador Ltd., a subsidiary of Perenco SA, and another company for US$88 million. The assets include a 50% interest in two production-sharing contracts for blocks 7 and 21, and its 4.2% nonoperating interest in Oleoducto De Crudos Pesados Ltd. Gross daily production from these assets is approximately 14,000 bbl. of oil. Solana Petroleum Corp., Flagstaff, Ariz., plans to acquire a 42% working interest in a field in the Magdalena Basin of Colombia. Solana will be operator. Lundin Petroleum AB, Vancouver, has acquired Coparex International SA from BNP Paribas and affiliates. The assets include production in excess of 15,000 BOE per day from operated production in France (Paris Basin) and Tunisia and nonoperated field interests in France (Aquitaine Basin), the Netherlands, Venezuela and Indonesia. Coparex also operates an exploration license in Albania. Proven and probable reserves are estimated at 55 million bbl. of oil. Paladin Resources Plc, London, has acquired a 14.5% stake in the Ross Field in the central U.K. North Sea for $22 million from Kerr-McGee Resources (U.K.) Ltd. The assets raise Paladin's net U.K. output to 4,000 bbl. of oil per day CNOOC Ltd. plans to acquire a 5% interest in Australia's North West Shelf gas project for US$320 million. The assets include an additional 1.1 trillion cu. ft. of gas or 210 million BOE of gas reserves. Swift Energy Co., Houston, subsidiary Swift Energy New Zealand Ltd. has signed a definitive agreement with two subsidiaries of Bligh Oil & Minerals NL (Australia: BLO) to acquire all of Bligh's interests in the Senz-operated Rimu/Kauri permits and Tawn permits and facilities in New Zealand for 300,000 Swift shares and US$2.75 million in cash. Swift New Zealand will thus own 100% of the Rimu/Kauri permits and 100% of the Tawn licenses.
