Inc., Corpus Christi, Texas. The company will drill the #1 State Lease 625-L offshore Calhoun County (RRC 2) to 2,700 ft. The well is a northeast offset to the nearest drilling on the same block, which was an abandoned well. The closest production is another 3.25 miles southwest in the single-well Matagorda Island Block 632 Field. There, the #1 State Tract 632-L tested at 3.66 million cu. ft. of gas a day in 2003. Nearby production also comes from Matagorda Island blocks 633 and 665, according to IHS Energy. 8 An Upper Cretaceous wildcat about 15 miles west of Poteet in northwestern Atascosa County, Texas, (RRC 1) will evaluate oil potential at 4,000 ft. for Rio-Tex Inc., San Antonio. The company's #1 Dodson is a half-mile southwest of the only other test in Section 514, Ed Cullen Survey, A-1401. That well, the #1 Emory Wright, was abandoned at 3,004 ft. with no recovery reported from cores. The nearest production is 1.5 miles east-southeast where the #1 Susana Pratt in Anchorage Field pumped five bbl. of oil a day from Navarro perforations between 2,260-80 ft.
