Horizontal drilling and hydrofracing have revitalized this mature East Texas play. The key to the play's profitability is in its liquids-rich flow, which provides great economic uplift for producers. The play flows anywhere from 25% to 55% liquid, and some experts think it might be more economical than the Granite Wash.
