Equinor's UK Rosebank Investment to Reach $5.2 Billion

Equinor plans to electrify its Rosebank oil and gas field project, an uncommon approach to offshore projects in the British North Sea.


Equinor's Rosebank oil and gas field in the British North Sea will require capital expenditure of about 4.3 billion pounds ($5.22 billion), Equinor's U.K. upstream chief Arne Guertner told Reuters on Aug. 5.

Ahead of a final investment decision planned for early next year, Equinor on Aug. 4 submitted an environmental plan for the field to U.K. authorities.
