Deadlines for the shallow water bid round offshore Trinidad and Tobago have been extended from early April to noon local time on May 27.
The Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries of the Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago said it extended the deadline based on feedback from current stakeholders and potential bidders.
The ministry launched the 2023/2024 Shallow Water Competitive Bidding Round in October 2023, putting 13 blocks on offer.
The blocks are along the western, eastern, southern and northern coasts of Trinidad and Tobago, and many are adjacent to already licensed blocks.
The ministry has previously said successful bids would be announced four months after the bid submission deadline.
