Crew Energy Inc., Calgary, (Toronto: CR) plans to acquire an undisclosed private Alberta-based producer for approximately C$61.8 million in stock and C$3.1 million in assumed debt. The company has 10,730 acres in Crew's core area of Ferrier in West-Central Alberta. Production is 1,100 barrels of oil equivalent per day (59% gas), with estimated proved-plus-probable reserves of 3.4 million barrels equivalent. Pro forma the acquisition, Crew's undeveloped land will increase to 200,000 net acres.
