Philip B. Smith, who was chairman and chief executive officer of Prize Energy Corp. before it was acquired by Magnum Hunter Resources Inc. in March, has joined Natural Gas Partners as a venture partner. Smith will be based in Tulsa. Art Ettlinger is leaving Yorkton Securities Inc. to become president and chief executive of a new Canadian diamond exploration company, Dunsmuir Ventures Ltd. Tom Foncannon, former head of energy lending, western U.S., for Wells Fargo & Co., has joined Bank of Oklahoma NA as senior vice president over the bank's new Denver loan production office. Joining Foncannon are Mike Logan, recently of Wells Fargo, and Allen Rheem, former head of energy lending for Bank of Cherry Creek, Denver.
