Leader in green hydrogen energy Avina Clean Hydrogen announced on April 11 the additions of former CEOs Tom Linebarger, Susan Dio and Warren East to the Avina advisory board.
Linebarger is a former CEO of Cummins, Dio is the former president and chairman of BP America and East is the former CEO of Rolls-Royce.
Avina is a green hydrogen and green fuels company with 1.5 gigawatts of clean hydrogen plants planned or under development.
"Now, more than ever before, green hydrogen has a meaningful role to play as a climate solution in multiple industries," said Vishal Shah, founder & CEO of Avina Clean Hydrogen. “Each leader brings a unique expertise and perspective from their respective backgrounds, which will be crucial in addressing the needs of a diverse portfolio of industries and end customers.”
Linebarger is currently the executive chairman and chairman of the board of global engine, filtration and power generation technology company Cummins. Linebarger was also the CEO of Cummins for more than 10 years before stepping down in August of 2022.
Linebarger is also currently the co-chair of The Hydrogen Council, a global coalition led by CEOs from over 300 automotive, gas, utility and technology companies to accelerate the energy transition through hydrogen.
Dio has more than 25 years of experience in international refining, petrochemicals and oil and gas and was responsible for all BP businesses in the U.S. as chairman and president of BP America before retiring in 2020. Between 2015 and 2018 Dio was also the CEO of BP Shipping and managed the BP-operated and chartered vessels fleet that transported more than 200 million tons of products around the globe yearly.
Initally a board member, East was the CEO of Rolls-Royce from 2015 to December 2022. As CEO, East committed Rolls-Royce to net-zero carbon emissions by 2050 and trailblazed leadership in the technology and aviation sectors with investments in electrical aviation, hydrogen electrolyzers, aero engine designs and nuclear power.
