Aris Water Solutions Inc. recently appointed Adrian Milton as general counsel, chief administrative officer and corporate secretary as the Houston-based company looks to grow its produced water footprint in the Permian Basin.
Milton has more than a decade of legal experience across various industries including at Concho Resources, formerly one of the largest unconventional shale producers in the Permian Basin that was acquired by ConocoPhillips earlier in 2021. The addition of Milton to Aris Water’s leadership team is expected to play an important role in the advancement of the company’s growth story, according to CEO Amanda Brock.
“We look forward to the contributions he will make to our ongoing efforts to bring transformational water solutions to our customers and other stakeholders in the Permian Basin,” Brock commented in a company release on Nov. 29.
Milton joins Aris Water Solutions from Headlands Research Inc., a private equity-backed clinical trial site organization, where he served as vice president and general counsel. He had previously worked as the deputy general counsel at Concho Resources, where he oversaw all the company’s legal functions such as securities, finance, corporate governance and mergers and acquisitions. He began his career at Latham & Watkins LLP, where he represented clients from various industries in corporate and securities matters.
Based in Houston, Aris Water Solutions is an independent, growth-oriented company focused on developing and operating produced water infrastructure and recycling for the largest operators in the Permian Basin.
“I’m looking forward to bringing my experience, both as in-house counsel and at a leading law firm, to deliver on Aris Water’s vision to continue to bring sustainable operations and reduced water and carbon footprints to companies in the Permian Basin,” Milton added in the release.
