Tyco celebrated the grand opening of a new state-of-the-art operational facility in Port Arthur, Texas, for its Williams Fire & Hazard Control (WF&HC) solutions team. The 6,503-sq-m (70,000-sqft) building will house the WF&HC’s training center, industrial incident response team, and custom products.

Fluid Imaging Technologies relocated its corporate headquarters to Scarborough, Maine. The new facility includes a product development research and engineering laboratory and a sample testing laboratory, with all manufacturing, assembly, software development, sales, marketing, and customer support personnel under one roof on 1,579 sq m (17,000 sq ft) of Class A office space.

Omega Engineering Inc. established a new location in Singapore to serve the Southeast Asia region. The company named Michael Lopez general manager of Southeast Asia, and the business unit will have more than a dozen additional employees including applications and technical support engineers.

Halliburton opened its new San Antonio Operations Center to serve the growing needs of the South Texas Eagle Ford shale and surrounding markets. The 150-acre, 37,161-sq-m (400,000-sq-ft) facility is located in southern Bexar County and supports five product service lines, including production enhancement, Boots & Coots, cementing, Baroid, and wireline and perforating. The completion tools business line will move to the facility in 2014.
