orqeedo is the market leader for electric mobility on the water.

Founded in 2005 in Starnberg, the company develops and manufactures electric and hybrid drives from 0.5 to 100 kW for commercial applications and recreational use. Torqeedo products are characterized by an uncompromising high-tech focus, maximum efficiency and complete system integration. Torqeedo is now part of the DEUTZ group.

All our boat drives operate at record levels of overall efficiency,  the most important measure for an electric drive system as  it determines potential power and range for a given battery  supply. In addition, our performance in relation to motor weight is just as unique.

The company employs 200 people at its locations in Gilching near Munich, Crystal Lake (Illinois, USA) and Bangkok (Thailand), an international team specialising in mechanical design, electronic development, software programming, procurement, production, marketing, controlling, sales, service and management who are doing everything to ensure that the  Starnberg company remains on its successful course.

Torqeedo products are available in more than 50 countries.
