Hibernia Management and Development Company Ltd. produces oil from Newfoundland and Labrador’s first offshore production platform. The Hibernia gravity base structure is in 80 m of water in the Jeanne d’Arc Basin. It has been producing oil since November 1997.
Exxon Mobil holds 33.125% interest in HMDC, Chevron holds 26.875%, Suncor Energy holds 20%, Canada Hibernia Holding Corporation holds 8.5%, Murphy Oil holds 6.5% and Equinor Canada Ltd. holds 5% interest.
