Drilling Activity Summary

Description

Denver-based Zephyr Energy provided an update from a Paradox Basin venture at #16-2 State in Section 16-22s-17e in Grand County, Utah. The well was drilled to 9,745 ft and is plugged at 6,435 ft. The planned true vertical depth was 9,692 ft. The venture penetrated 21 clastic reservoirs within Paradox. Gas shows were observed across five of the reservoirs, including the targeted Cane Creek. Gas shows were observed across an additional 10 of the reservoirs. Log analysis indicates hydrocarbon saturation across most of these reservoirs Core samples were acquired from 12 of the reservoirs and is first in situ core data from this part of the Paradox Basin. The new location offsets #16-42 State, which was completed in 2009. The 10,176-ft discovery was tested flowing 284,000 cu ft of gas per day from fracture-treated Cane Creek perforations at 9,738-9,894 ft. An unsuccessful recompletion attempt was conducted in Honaker Trail at 8,633-9,336 ft. Zephyr Energy is based in London.
