Description

Irving, Texas-based Pioneer Natural Resources has completed two Spraberry Trend wells at a pad in northern Midland County (RRC Dist. 8), Texas. The pad is in in Section 16, Block 38 T1S, T&P RR Co Survey, A-866, south of the Midland/Martin county line. The #1H Mabee-Tredaway W16A was tested on gas lift flowing 1,041 bbl of 39.6° crude, 874,000 cu ft of gas and 1,822 bbl of water per day from Wolfcamp. It was acidized and fractured and production is from perforations at 9,634-18,415 ft. It was drilled to 18,468 ft (9,610 ft true vertical) with a bottomhole within 1.75 miles to the southeast in Section 21. From an offsetting surface location, #2H Mabee-Elkin W16B was drilled to 18,651 ft (9,621 ft true vertical) with a parallel lateral. The well had an initial daily potential of 728 bbl of 39.8° oil, 670,000 cu ft of gas and 1,775 bbl of water from acid- and fracture-stimulated perforations at 9,726-18,507 ft in Wolfcamp.
