Description
BP has scheduled two more development tests in the company’s Thunder Horse Field. IHS Markit reported that as part of the Thunder Horse South Expansion Phase 2 project, the London-based company will drill #22 OCS G14658 and #23 OCS G14658 in the eastern half of Mississippi Canyon Block 822. The offsetting #21 OCS G14658 was permitted in September 2020. Before that, BP scheduled #19 OCS G14658 and #20 OCS G14658 from offsetting surface locations in the northeastern portion of Block 822. The Thunder Horse South expansion project is expected to add an estimated 50,000 bbl of oil equivalent production per day with first oil expected in 2021.equivalent production per day with first oil expected in 2021.
