An exploration plan by Fieldwood Energy LLC indicates the company will drill up to three tests on offshore Louisiana's West Cameron Block 106 (OCS G35574). According to Fieldwood, the proposed tests will be drilled from separate surface locations in the northwestern portion of the tract where water depth is 45 ft. One shallow exploratory test was drilled in the central portion of the tract in 2013 - #1 OCS G32106 was abandoned at 3,585 ft in Prairie (Pleistocene). The Block 106 prospect is southeast of production in West Cameron Block 71 Field, a multitract Miocene reservoir opened in 1965. Fieldwood's headquarters are in Houston.
