Description
According to IHS Markit, a second deeper pool wildcat in has been spud in Illinois’ Crossville West Field by ACF Resources LLC in White County. The #1 BB is targeting oil pays in Fort Payne and the planned depth is 4,300 ft. It will be drilled in Section 14-4s-10e. A previous test was drilled by Carmi, Ill.-based company at #1 Healy, which is within 1 mile to the north in the same section — 5-1/2-in. casing has been set to 4,157 ft and the venture is waiting on production testing of Fort Payne. Another Fort Payne test in Section 14, #1 Lamont, was permitted and the proposed depth is 4,250 ft. ACF also plans to drill a service well, #1 Healy Disposal, to 1,780 ft. Crossville West Field was opened in 1952 and produces from seven Mississippian zones, ranging from Cypress at 2,810 ft to Ullin at 4,110 ft.
