PTTEP Exploration and Production announced a gas discovery in offshore Sarawak, Malaysia. The wildcat exploration well is in Block SK438. The #1-Kulintang was drilled to 2,238 m and area water depth is 48 m. PTTEP expects to drill another exploration well in this block in the second quarter of 2021. PTTEP, based in Bangkok, is the operator with 80% participating interest with partner Petronas holding 20% interest.
