Anschutz Exploration Corp. has completed of a high-volume horizontal Frontier discovery in the Powder River Basin. Located in Section 17-35n-71w in Converse County, Wyo., #3571-17-5-1FH Theo-Fed initially flowed 2.738 Mbbl of 40-degree-gravity oil, 2.738 MMcf of gas and 2.403 Mbbl of water per day. Production is from a horizontal lateral extending from 11,279 ft to the northeast to 22,322 ft (11,890 ft true vertical) and bottomed in Section 5-35n-71w. It was tested on a 26/64-in. choke after 32-stage fracturing between 12,440 and 22,082 ft with a flowing tubing pressure of 2,400 psi. Anschutz is based in Denver.
