Description
In Yoakum County (RRC Dist. 8A), Texas, Midland, Texas-based Custer & Wright Inc. announced a horizontal San Andres completion in Platang Field. The #2H Ben was tested on-pump flowing 682 bbl of 35-degree-gravity oil, 497 Mcf of gas and 1.406 Mbbl of water per day. It is on a 320-acre lease in Section 416, Block D, John H. Gibson Survey, A-1606 and was drilled to 10,904 ft and the true vertical depth is 5,288 ft. Production is from acid- and fracture-stimulated perforations at 5,769-10,762 ft. and bottomed about 1 mile to the north in Section 401. Located on the Northwestern Shelf of the Permian Basin, the well offsets the surface location of the south-trending #4H Sixteen Stone 416.
