A Lea County, N.M., discovery was reported by Houston-based EOG Resources Inc. The #709H Wild Weasel 22 Federal Com initially flowed 3,529 bbl of oil, with 4.836 MMcf of gas and 8,917 bbl of water per day from Wolfcamp. It was drilled to 22,848 ft with a true vertical depth of 12,751 ft in Section 22-25s-34e. The Pitchfork Ranch South Field well was tested on a 76/64-inch choke with a shut-in casing pressure of 1,049 psi and production is from perforations at 12,833-22,821 ft.
