Century Oil & Gas LLC, based in Houston, was granted drilling permits for more than 200 horizontal wildcats targeting the Cretaceous Niobrara, Turner, Mowry and Muddy formations in the eastern Powder River Basin. The as-yet unnamed wells will be drilled from five common drillpads in Sections 10, 13, 14 and 16 of township 44n-69w in Campbell County, Wyo., on the company’s Buzzard Draw leases. The program’s two-section laterals will be drilled both to the north and south. Measured total depths range between 16,986 and 19,607 ft.
