Description
Denver-based Grynberg Petroleum Co. has received permits for two deep wildcats in a non-producing portion of the eastern Denver-Julesburg Basin. Both Lincoln County, Colo. wildcats are designed to evaluate J Sand; Wolfcamp Granite Wash; Lansing-Kansas City; Marmaton; Cherokee’ Atoka; Morrow; Spergen; Arbuckle and Reagan. The #5-12 Schulte will be in Section 3-6e-52w and the planned depth is 8,200 ft. One-half a mile to the south, #2-4 Schulte will be in Section 10-6s-52w and it has a planned depth of 8,230 ft. Nearby drilling is at a workover in Section 3-6-52w – Grynberg’s #1-13R Schulte was deepened 8,700 ft in Cambrian Reagan. No details have been disclosed.
