Description
A horizontal Niobrara discovery in the Powder River Basin was announced by Denver-based Anschutz Exploration Corp. Located in Section 10-36n-71w in Converse County, Wyo., #3671-10-22-13W NH Cowboy-Federal initially flowed 719 bbl of oil, 669 Mcf of gas and 440 bbl of water per day. Production is from a lateral in Niobrara drilled to the south to 20,894 ft (11,101 ft true vertical) and it bottomed in Section 22-36n-71w. It was tested on a 20/64- in. choke following 32-stage fracturing between 11,436 and 20,557 ft.
