Description

IHS Markit reported that a horizontal Keystone Field well was completed by Boyd & McWilliams Operating on the Central Basin Platform of the Permian Basin. In the eastern portion of Winkler County (RRC Dist. 8), Texas, #2H Whiting 21 was tested pumping 156 bbl of 43-degree-gravity oil, 435,000 cu ft of gas and 4,272 bbl of water per day from Wolfcamp. Acid- and fracture-treated perforations are at 8,624-16,341 ft. The horizontal sidetrack was drilled to a total depth of 16,463 ft (7,921 ft true vertical) in Section 10, Block B6, PSL Survey, A-1668. The original hole, #220 Keystone Cattle Co, was a 9,385-ft vertical test abandoned in 1960. Boyd & McWilliams' lateral bottomed within 2 miles to the northwest in Section 30, Block B2, PSL Survey, A-1657.
