Description
Midroc Operating Co., Dallas, permitted a Smackover wildcat for northeastern Alabama's Escambia County, less than three miles south of the Conecuh County line. The #18-15 Cedar Creek Land & Timber will reach total depth of 13,100 ft. in Section 18-3n-12e. It has also drilled #10-9 Cedar Creek Land & Timber some 3.5 miles east-northeast. Smackover recovery comes from Little Cedar Creek Field less than eight miles north-northwest. Brought onstream in 1994, the field yielded 4.05 million bbl. of crude, 3.52 billion cu. ft. of gas and 10,532 bbl. of water from Smackover.
