Located in 254 meters of water, the well encountered a 72-meter gas column, and production test results have not yet been released, according to E&P Daily. WA-344-P covers 667 sq. kilometers and is approximately 20 kilometers northeast of the giant Ichthys gas/condensate find. Ichthys has recoverable resources of 13 trillion cu. ft. of gas and 530 million bbl. of oil.
