Description
Gazprom is underway at the first horizontal well to explore Bazhenov Shale of the Palyanovsky deposit at Krasnoleninsky Field in Russia's Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug in Western Siberia. The first well will analyze shale oil deposits at the field. Currently, the venture is at 3,200 m and the horizontal borehole extends approximately 300 m and three-stage hydraulic fracturing is planned. Four wells are planned in 2014-15, with increasing horizontal lengths fracturing stages. Gazprom is based in Moscow.
