Description

IHS Markit reported that Denver-based Lincoln Energy Holdings LLC has scheduled 18 horizontal exploratory tests of Niobrara and Turner in the Powder River Basin in Converse County, Wyo. The 18 wells, all named after Marvel Comics villains, will be drilled from the following five common drillpads in township 33n-72w. Thanos—four wells (two each in Niobrara and Turner) will be in Section 22-33n-72w. Two wells will be drilled northward to bottom-hole locations in Section 10-33n-72w and two wells will be drilled southward to bottom-hole locations in Section 27-33n-72w. Galactus—four wells (two each in Niobrara and Turner) will be in Section 20-33n-72w. Two wells will be drilled northward to bottom-hole locations in Section 8-33n-72w and two wells will be drilled southward to bottom-hole locations in Section 29-33n-72w. Kingpin—four wells (two each in Niobrara and Turner) will be in Section 22-33n-72w. Two wells will be drilled northward to bottom-hole locations in Section 10-33n-72w and two wells will be drilled southward to bottom-hole locations in Section 27-33n-72w. Juggernaut—four wells (two each in Niobrara and Turner) will be in Section 21-33n-72w. Two wells will be drilled northward to bottom-hole locations in Section 9-33n-72w and two wells will be drilled southward to bottom-hole locations in Section 28-33n-72w. Dr. Doom—two wells (one each in Niobrara and Turner) will be in Section 21-33n-72w. Both wells will be drilled southward to bottom-hole locations in Section 28-33n-72w. Lincoln, founded in 2013 to make investments in mineral rights, royalty interests, non-operated working interests and leasehold in the Denver-Julesburg Basin in Colorado, has not yet drilled or operated a well in Wyoming.
