Description
John O. Schofield Inc. plans to drill a deeper pool test in Maunie North Consolidated Field. The #1 G. Brown-Schofield is in White County, Ill. The scheduled Trenton test will be drilled in Section 25-5s-10e. Offsetting Schofield's drillsite is a 2,960-ft. oil well drilled more than 70 years ago. Maunie North Consolidated Field produces from shallower pays in the Pennsylvanian and multiple Mississippian pays. The deepest wells in the field produce oil from the Ullin (Mississippian) at 3,950 ft. The Carmi, Ill.-based company recently completed #1 Slemaker-Schofield - although permitted to 7,000 ft., the well reached 4,063 ft. in Warsaw. It was tested in mid-2012 flowing 25 bbl. of crude through Warsaw perforations at 3,956-63 ft.
