Drilling Activity Summary
Description
An exploratory test is planned by Oklahoma City-based Continental Resources Inc. to evaluate Mississippian Lower Springer Shale in the Anadarko Basin. The #1R-11-14-23XH Trammell, Section 11-6n-6w in Grady County will be drilled south across Section 14 and will bottom in Section 23-6n-6w. The site is in an area of the Scoop play where there are mostly horizontal Woodford producers. The closest Lower Springer Shale well is about two miles to the northeast: Continental’s #1-3H Tamara was tested flowing 745 bbl of 46-degree-gravity oil, 1.49 MMcf of gas and 410 bbl of water. Production is from a fracture-stimulated interval at 13,154-17,790 ft in a northerly lateral. The respective measured and true vertical depths are 17,941 ft and 12,781 ft.
