Drilling Activity Summary

Description

In Lea County N.M.’s Austin Southwest Field, Armstrong Energy Corp. has recompleted a well originally drilled by Chesapeake Operating Inc. The #001 Chocolate Foam Wing is in Section 34-14s-36e, was tested flowing 129 bbl of crude, 104 Mcf of gas with water per day from acidized perforations at 11,980-11,992 ft in Upper Pennsylvanian. Gauged on a 32/64-in. choke, the flowing tubing pressure was 40 psi. The 14,095-ft well was plugged back to 13,245 ft before completion. Chesapeake tested the original hole in 2002 as a Mississippian producer in Morton Field. It initially produced 393 Mcf of gas, 13 bbl of 58-degree-gravity condensate and no water through acid-stimulated perforations at 13,628-52 ft.
