Whittier Energy Corp., Houston, (Nasdaq: WHIT) has acquired interests in three fields in Texas and Mississippi from Imperial Petroleum Inc., Evansville, Ind., (OTCBB: IPTM) for $10.6 million. The assets include an average 50% working interest (36% net revenue interest) in 17 operated producing wells in the Carthage Field in East Texas and the Bovina Field in Mississippi, minor interests in four non-operated producing wells and four shut-in operated wells awaiting a work-over rig.
