David B. Miller has joined the board of Denbury Resources Inc., Dallas, increasing Denbury's board to nine members. Miller is a managing director and cofounder of EnCap Investments LLC, a subsidiary of El Paso Corp. (NYSE: EPG). Prior to the formation of EnCap in 1988, Miller held executive positions with PMC Reserve Acquisition Co., Maze Exploration Inc. and Republic National Bank of Dallas. He also serves on the boards of 3Tec Energy Corp. and two other EnCap portfolio companies. Dale G. Blue and J. Ronald Woods have been appointed to the board of Canadian Superior Energy Inc., Calgary. Blue has spent the last 18 years with Chase and Chemical Bank, both in Toronto and Calgary. Most recently he was chairman, chief executive officer and president of Chase Manhattan Bank of Canada. Woods is president of Rowood Capital Corp., a private investment company. He was vice president of Conwest Exploration, and a past member of the board of governors of the Toronto Stock Exchange and a former member of the listing committee and market access committee. Reappointed to the board were Donald Axford, Greg Noval, Robert Pilling, T. Harp, Fred Purich and Charles Dallas. O. Lee Tawes III has been nominated to the board of Infinity Inc., Chanute, Kan. He will assume the position currently held by Jeffrey Dale. Tawes is with New York-based investment banking firm C.E. Unterberg Towbin as a managing director and director of equity research. He is also a member of the management and commitment committees of the firm, and is head of the investment policy committee. From 1991-99, Tawes was director of equity research and chairman of the stock selection committee at CIBC World Markets and a member of the firm's executive and commitment committees. WSR Energy Resources Inc., Lighthouse Point, Fla., has retained E. Ray Broadbent II to oversee acquisition of producing and developmental properties and companies. Broadbent has more than 30 years of domestic and international experience in all phases of the oil and gas industry.
