Description

ConocoPhillips Inc. is drilling at a delineation test associated at its Willow development project in the northeast National Petroleum Reserve-Alaska. The #20 Tinmiaq is in Section 6-9n-1e in Umiat Meridian. The directional venture will be evaluating Nanushuk oil zones. No target depth was disclosed but it will bottom to the west in Section 3-9n-1w. The Willow accumulation is about 28 miles west of the Alpine Central Facility and it is estimated to contain 400-750 MMbbl of recoverable oil in Nanushuk. According to IHS Markit, the Houston-based company’s proposed 250-well Willow development includes five drillsite locations in the Bear Tooth Federal Unit (BTU), an on-site Willow central processing facility located on the BT3 drillsite, and an infrastructure pad containing support facilities.
