Description
Axis Exploration LLC, based in Denver, has scheduled 16 horizontal Niobrara delineation tests from two common drillpads in Arapahoe County, Colo. The wells will be drilled from drillpads in Section 14-5s-64w on the company’s DTH fee leases. Eight wells will be drilled from each pad with measured total depths ranging between 17,367 and 17,761 ft (7,561 and 7,804 ft true vertical). The wells from the pad in Section 14 will be drilled eastward to bottom-hole locations in Section 13-5s-64w, while the wells from the pad in Section 14 will be drilled eastward to bottom-hole locations in Section 13-5s-64w. The two Axis drillpads offset to the northeast and southeast #5-64 15-16-1CHZ Powell in Section 15-5s-64w, which was completed a year ago as a horizontal Niobrara discovery by Highlands Natural Resources Corp.
