Anderson Energy Ltd. has retained BMO Capital Markets and RBC Capital Markets to seek strategic alternatives for the company, including a possible sale of the company’s assets.

Anderson Energy has a Cardium drilling inventory at Garrington, Ferrier, Pembina, Willesden Green and in other new areas in Alberta. The company has 131 gross (81) net sections targeting the Cardium and 134 gross (70.6 net) sections of land in the Second White Specs fairway.

Production during the fourth quarter 2011 was approximately 7,930 barrels of oil equivalent per day.

Upside includes an inventory of liquids rich natural gas horizontal and vertical well opportunities, 663 Edmonton Sands vertical gas locations and 94 gross (48 net) drilling horizontal locations in the Second White Specs, Glauconitic, Viking and Belly River zones.
