What is core acreage in the Haynesville? I was speaking to an asset marketer today about a property owner who is considering offers there. "Where is the property? Is it in the core?" I asked. Asset marketer: "Well, no, yes. It is core this week. It wasn't core last week, but it is this week." The play's boundaries and sweet spot remains to be fully defined. This property owner has held out so far from an initial offer from an aggressive Haynesville acreage-buyer from $6,000/acre and less than 20% royalty, to $10,000/acre and 20% to, now, $16,000/acre and 25%. The property owner is still holding out.
