Nine Energy Service Inc., a leading North American oilfield services company specializing in completion solutions for long, deep horizontal wells, said April 9 that its subsidiary, Nine Downhole Norway (NDN), has achieved ISO 9001:2015 certification, an internationally recognized standard that ensures products and services meet the needs of customers through an effective quality management system.
The company pursued its ISO 9001:2015 Management System Certificate for development, service and sale of products for well completion for the oil and gas industry to demonstrate its commitment to continually improving products and services.
ISO 9001:2015 is a globally recognized quality management standard developed and published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). The certification provides a model for companies of all types and sizes to use in building an effective quality management system. The standard is based on several quality management principles, including having a strong customer focus, involvement of high-level company management, an outlined process-based approach and ongoing improvement of the aforementioned approach.
ISO 9001:2015 specifies requirements for a quality management system when an organization needs to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. It is also designed to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
“We are thrilled that Nine’s subsidiary, NDN, has received ISO 9001:2015 certification,” Ann Fox, CEO of Nine Energy Service, said. “During a challenging time for people and businesses across the globe, we are working hard to improve our business for clients and overcome ongoing industry obstacles. This certification speaks to these ambitions, and the resiliency Nine embodies as part of its core culture.”
NDN’s achievement of ISO 9001:2015 Certification highlights the organization’s focus on creating industry-leading products and services for the oil and gas sector, measured against global benchmarks of industry excellence.
