Completion details have been released on a vertical Niobrara/Codell discovery drilled by Ausco Petroleum Inc. According to IHS Markit, #1 Amerigo Vespucci was completed in Colorado’s Fremont County flowing 83 bbl of 38° API oil, 821,000 cu ft of gas and 180 bbl of water per day from acid- and fracture-treated perforations at 5,113-5,650 ft. The flowing tubing pressure was 135 psi on a 26/64-inch choke. Between September 2019 and March 2020, the well has recovered 563 bbl of oil and 6.8 MMcf of gas. The discovery was drilled to 5,850 ft in Section 1-20s-70w. It had originally been permitted in 2012 by Aus-Tex Exploration as the #14-C-01-1 Pathfinder.
