Description
Lundin Petroleum AB completed appraisal well production testing at #16/1-28S in the Rolvsnes discovery in PL338C on the Utsira High in the Norwegian North Sea. A horizontal lateral was drilled and was tested flowing at a constrained production rate of 7 Mbbl of oil per day. The combined Rolvsnes and Goddo prospective area is now estimated to contain gross potential resources of more than 250 MMboe. The appraisal well is about 3 km from the Edvard Grieg platform and is the third well on the Rolvsnes oil discovery. Additional testing is planned as well as an additional exploration well at the Goddo prospect in PL815. Stockholm-based Lundin is the operator of PL338C with a 50% working interest with partners Lime Petroleum, 30%, and OMV with 20%.
