XTO Energy Inc. announced preliminary test results for a horizontal Caney Shale producer in southern Oklahoma’s Ardmore Basin. The #1-15H10X3 Anderson flowed 250 bbl of 45-degree-gravity oil, 161 Mcf of gas and 523 bbl of water during a 24-hour flow test run on a 64/64-in. choke. It is in Section 15-4s-4e in Johnston County and was perforated, acidized and fracture-stimulated between 9,385 and 19,614 ft. The first long-reach Caney well in the region was drilled to 19,749 ft, 7,135 ft true vertical, and bottomed about 2 miles to the north in Section 3-4s-4e. XTO is a subsidiary of ExxonMobil.
