Description
In Yellowstone County, Mont., Goldrock Minerals LLC has been granted a drilling permit for a wildcat in the Mosser Dome stratigraphic trap area of the state. The #20-2 Blue Ridge will be drilled in Section 20-3s-25e and is projected to 1,000 ft for evaluation of the Greybull Sand (Lower Cretaceous). The wildcat is about 3 miles northeast of Mosser Dome Field and 6 miles south-southeast of Laurel Field, both of which have produced oil from Greybull and Dakota. Mosser Dome Field was discovered in the 1940s. Goldrock’s headquarters are in Billings, Mont.
