Wesco Operating has completed an offset to the company’s Paradox Basin discovery in San Juan County, Utah. The #44-21 Three Mile Unit is in Section 21-29s-22e and it initially flowed 25 bbl of 46-degree-gravity oil and 179 Mcf of gas per day. It was tested through acidized Mississippian Leadville perforations at 7,758-7,808 and 7,838-42 ft. Gauged on a 20/64-in. choke, the tubing pressure was 105 psi. It was drilled and cased to 8,588 ft and perforations in a deeper zone at 8,084-8,259 ft were squeezed off prior to completion. The original discovery is within one-half mile to the east-northeast at #24-21D TMU in Section 28-29s-22e. It was completed in 2018 flowing 56 bbl of 46-degree-gravity oil and 713 Mcf of gas per day and produces from acidized Leadville perforations at 7,596-7,810 and McCracken (Devonian) at 8,180-8,262 ft.
