Galp Energia Corp. has announced that it will begin a new exploration program in offshore Alentejo Province in the Portuguese sector of the Atlantic. The first exploration operations will be carried out approximately 80 km off the coast from Sines, Portugal, to explore for an undiscovered oil reservoir. The Lisbon-based company holds 100% operating interest in three concessions offshore Alentejo; Lavagante; Santola and Bamba Blocks.
