Description

A Comet Ridge Ltd. completion in the Galilee Basin was tested flowing 230 Mcf of gas per day from a 13-m interval. According to the company, #1-Albany is the first known producer from the Lake Galilee Sandstone reservoir. Production is from a 13-m interval at 2,582-2,595 m. The total remaining gross gas bearing section of about 100 m of gas bearing sandstone is yet to be drilled. The discovery is a conventional appraisal well and is in Eastern Galilee Basin ATP 744 in Queensland. Brisbane-based Comet Ridge currently holds 100% of the ATP 744 in which the Albany structure and the Albany well are located.
