Brix Operating has staked an extended-lateral Haynesville Shale test in DeSoto Parish, La. The #1 San Patricio 12-13HC will be drilled in Section 1-10n-12w and will bottom about 2 miles to the south in Section 13. The Pleasant Hill Field test has a planned depth of 23,000 ft (12,500 ft true vertical). A nearby Pleasant Hill Field well completed in 2010 at #1 Pearson 1-10-12H, which was tested flowing 18.1 MMcf of gas and 168 bbl of water per day from perforations at 12,862-16,864 ft — that discovery was drilled to 16,964 ft, 12,568 ft true vertical, and it bottomed to the north.
